I looked at Yahoo’s 9/11 Remembered website.

The tone is both somber and patriotic.  The site encourages users to share their story, which brings the online community together.  It looks at “How September 11 Changed Us,” which is both a sad and happy story.  Obviously any website on 9/11 will focus on tragedy, but this site does a good job of sharing the hope and positive emotions Americans associate with 9/11.

The colors and pictures used also indicate the feelings of the webpage.

There are firefighters featured prominently – the heroes of 9/11.  There are sunny pictures, American flags, and people working together.  The imagery is positive, but still respectful of the tragedy.

This page uses articles with additional photos and scattered links to video.
